  to the Red Sea
• Nasser informed the Israelis that they were ready
  for war, the Israelis therefore made Nasser think
  that the Israeli troops werent ready
• A few days before the war the Israeli troops were
  sent home to have a holiday
• This made Nasser think that Israeli wasnt going
  to attack

• Israeli government was familiar with the
  conditions in the desert and experimented how
  much water would a soldier need in these dry and
  hot conditions
• They finally decided that 1 litre of
  water/hour/day is sufficient amount for the
  soldiers
• This prevented heat strokes and casualties
• If the Egyptian forces would have done the same
  they wouldnt have lost as many casualties

• Egyptians didnt expect Israelis to be so
  powerful
• Jordan and Lebanon were unaware that Egyptian
  airforce was wiped during the first days of the
  war
• Many Egyptians casualties were lost due to heat
  strokes
