• Carbon monoxide is a significant toxic odourless
  and colourless gas. Fatal poison.

• Nitric acid may cause acid rains. Furthermore, it
  participates in the ozone layer depletion.

• Sulphur dioxide left in the air may cause
  respiratory symptoms and diseases, breathing
  difficulties, premature death. Liberated in
  water, it may cause skin diseases and eye
  problems.

• At ground level, ozone is an air polluant with
  harmful effects on respiratory systems.

• Factors influencing CO2 emission
• Speed and CO2
• Speed cannot be said to have an impact on the CO2
  emission because what really matters is how
  efficient the engine is. Thus, the real factor
  actually is the engines running speed.
• Temperature and CO2
• In contrast to what is usually said, the
  temperature of the air does not affect the CO2
  emission but rather the emission of tiny
  particles in the air.

The Energ_at_tic Project proposes students different
challenges to save energy in the everyday life.
These challenges permit them to analyse a
situation and to propose improvements to reduce
the energy consumption.

• The mobility challenges aim is to reduce the
  energy consumption and the emissions coming from
  urban transport of students as they are
  journeying between school and home.
