Advertising is a form of marketing communication
used to promote or sell something, usually a
business's product or service. The purpose of
advertising may also be to reassure employees or
shareholders that a company is viable or
successful. Advertising messages are usually paid
for by sponsors and viewed via various old media
including mass media such as newspaper,
magazines, television advertisement, radio
advertisement, outdoor advertising or direct
mail or new media such as blogs, websites or
text messages.

Eligibility for most of the advertising
postgraduate diploma/ degree courses is
graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50
percent marks. Admission to most of these courses
is based on an entrance exam and/or interview.

openings in newspapers, journals, magazines
commercial section of radio or television market

work as a freelancer.

salary of Rs. 9,000 - 15,000 per month. While
those with MBAs and professional training in
advertising can get salaries ranging from 15,000
to 20,000 per month. Salary of a successful

50,000 per month depending on the ad agency
