2006 North Korea has been increasing the use of
solar heat to in factories, greenhouses and fish

Pyongyang will shift its basic energy policy
from coal and hydroelectric power generation to
nuclear energy. June 2005 DPRK announces work

system, in the whole country. We are
constructing new irrigation systems and. ground
leveling. We have now completed the
Kaechon-Taesong and Paekma- Cholsan waterways.
These are natural-flow waterways, with no
electrical support needed.
