  • Logical conclusion based on something already
    known or believed to be true
  • Uses observations but creates an explanation or
    thought
  • Example She is wearing a coat, it must be cold
    outside.

  • During experiments, scientists record
    observations NOT inferences
  • Inferences are used in the conclusion in your lab
    report and come from research .

Write a summary of your notes
  • Draw a line where your notes ended. Your summary
    should be 3-5 sentences long. Needs to include a
    synopsis of what was discussed today. Examples
    of what was learned can be included in your
    summary. SHOULD NOT BE WORD FOR WORD FROM THE
    NOTES.
