General Objects of the project
With this project Umbria Export realizes series
of activities which correspond with the
necessities of the Polish region of Warmia
Mazury In particular, the main goal of the
project is that of increasing the profitability
of the farms and lowering unemployment.

• The specific targets of the project are
•  
• Training and technical assistance for operators
  already working in the sector of rural
  hospitality located in the chosen Polish region.
• Training and technical assistance for the
  creation of new structures of rural hospitality
  to be located in the selected Polish region.
• Technical assistance for the creation of a
  network between the hospitality structures
  involved which will guarantee the promotion of
  the local tourism and an exchange of tourist
  flows with Italy.
• Qualification of the local Polish tourism offer
  and typical local products.

In order to achieve such macro objectives the
organizer in cooperation with the Italian and
Polish partners will realize the following major
actions which will take place within 24 months
(from 01.01.2003 to 31.12.2004)

Analysis of the hospitality possibilities in the
chosen areas
Feasibility studies on the possibility to realize
structures of rural hospitality
Selection of the target persons for training and
technical assistance on basis of managing and
running capacity of candidates
Realization of courses for 15 operators of
rural tourism and for 15 future entrepreneurs
Realization of Umbrian cuisine courses for 15
chefs from rural areas of Warmia - Mazury

Guided visits to hospitality structures in Umbria
Assistance in Poland for planning, creation and
running of the new hospitality structures
Providing the Polish partners with computer
technology necessary for the elaboration of
on-line tourist information
Missions of Italian operators to their Polish
partners in order to start an international
cooperation for the exchange of tourist flows
Realization of the initiatives of which the goal
is to evaluate and qualify the local tourist offer
