    from Athens State University.
  • I received my Master of Business Administration
    from Alabama A M University.
  • I received my Doctorate of Business
    Administration from Argosy University.
  • I am a big Alabama Football fan! ROLL TIDE!!
  • I love to shop and spend time with family!!

Computer Science Principles
  • Computer Science Principles (CSP) is designed to
    introduce students to the central ideas of
    computing and computer science (CS), to instill
    ideas and practices of computational thinking,
    and to have students engage in activities that
    show how computing and computer science change
    the world. The CSP course is rigorous and rich in
    computational content, includes computational and
    critical thinking skills, and engages students in
    the creative aspects of CS. Through both its
    content and pedagogy, this course aims to appeal
    to a broad audience.

What to expect
  • The key concepts and related content that define
    the CSP course and exam are organized around
    seven Big Ideas that are introduced in the next
    section. Essential questions that students will
    explore are posed for each of the Big Ideas.
    These ideas connect students to a curriculum
    scope that is rigorous at the AP-level and also
    broad in coverage of many topics in CS. As an
    essential part of the course and the course
    assessment, students will complete two
    performance tasks that require them to explore
    impacts of computing and create computational
    artifacts through programming.

What do you need?
  • USB Flash Drive (not required, but highly

  • Loose leaf paper (go ahead and put in your

  • Pen/Pencil-bring one EVERY DAY!

Class Expectations
  • Show respect to Dr. Shears show respect to your
    classmates. Show respectget respect!
  • Please do not download any files or change any
    screen settings on your computer!!
  • No food or drink in the computer lab.
  • Throw ALL trash away in the trash cansdo not
    shove things in the desk.
  • Keep backpacks underneath your feet.

More Expectations
  • When you come to class every day, be seated and
    logged in to the computer when the bell rings.
  • Follow class rules for electronic/cell phone
  • Always follow THS and Alabaster City Schools
    rules pertaining to behavior, dress code, make-up
    work, attendance, etc.

  • Class I violations will be handled with a
    warning, followed by a phone call to parents,
    loss of classroom privileges, seat assignment or
    discipline assignments.
  • Any student committing a Class II, III or IV
    offense will be sent immediately to the office
    and parents will be contacted.
  • In other words, know the expectations for my
    class, follow them, and well all get along just
    fine ?

    in at the beginning of class, the first thing you

    username and password somewhere safe where you
    can refer to it daily, if needed!
