Since 1956 Junior Achievement of Brazoria County,
Inc. has been educating, and inspiring youth to
value free enterprise, business, financial
literacy and economics in order to improve the
quality of their lives. This year in thirty-six
schools, 500 volunteers presented Junior
Achievement programs to almost 10,000 students in
K-12th grade. JA is preparing the workforce of
tomorrow by giving them an understanding of how
business operates today. Investments from
businesses and individuals help JA change
traditional classrooms into learning laboratories
of the future. This environment fuels the
entrepreneurial spirit and inspires students to
excel. The energy that brings economic and
business concepts to life is the volunteer
dimension of JA. Its unique delivery system
engages executives, owners of small businesses,
retirees, parents, and college students in the
