Repetition of Course Policy (ROCP)
  • A student can repeat courses for which a C-, D,
D, D-, F, WU, or IC grade was earned.
  • A student can repeat and replace a total of 16
    units during his/her undergraduate career.
  • This includes courses repeated at community
    college or another university
  • Any course failed at CSUF must be repeated at
CSUF in order to apply ROCP and delete original
grade from the CSUF GPA calculation.
  • What happens when students repeat courses beyond
    the 16-unit ROCP limit?
  • The grades for courses repeated beyond 16 units
will not replace previous low grades both the
original and most recent grades are included in
    the GPA calculation.

9
Retroactive Withdrawal Petition
  • A Withdrawal Unauthorized (WU) is assigned when a
student fails to complete enough course work to
    be given a letter grade.
  • A WU is calculated as an F in the GPA.
  • WUs earned during the first term of enrollment
at CSUF will be changed to Ws without filling a
    petition.
  • Retroactive withdrawal petitions require
    extenuating circumstances and documented proof.
