branding and marketing opportunities - Promote education and cultural awareness for all
employees

- Align ERGs mission, goals, and objectives with
the corporate talent management and/or business
goals and objectives - Identify benefits to the members/constituents
- e.g. leadership development, increased
organizational skills, enhance communications

development - Include the following information in your
proposal

- Describe the approval process Diversity Office,
H/R, Sponsor - Allow some flexibility on the ERG structure
- Provide parameters on mission statements,
activities, initiatives that will be supported by
the company - Set guidelines on general membership, such as it
should be open to all employees - Advise that participation is voluntary
- Provide template proposals, by-laws, and mission
statements - Prohibit ERGs with a political objective
- Disallow proposed ERGs that intentionally oppose
any other ERG or segment of the employee
population

Professionals (NAAAP) - Colorado, a 501(c)(3)
organization, to - a) offer leadership development programs around
Asian cultures for Asian Americans - b) serve as a platform for sharing Asian ERG
best practices and for starting a new Asian ERG - c) help advance the local Asian community
- In North America, we establish a strategic
partnership to support and leverage NAAAP local
organizations to help bring best practices and
build a better community - NAAAP is the network for Asian American leaders.
