Contents
  • This course is intended to introduce the basic
    principles in design of computer machine
    architecture. Major topics include performance
    and cost analysis, pipelining processing, dynamic
    and static instruction scheduling, branch
    prediction, hierarchical memory design, and
    multiprocessor architectures. A quantitative
    approach is used with emphasis on
    cost-performance-power trade-offs achieving good
    engineering design.
