Dudley School Workforce Team are pleased to be
able to offer an excellent professional
development opportunity for school support staff,
as part of a series of forthcoming workshops to
enhance the skills and knowledge of Level III and
IV support staff in schools. This workshop may
be of benefit, in particular, to those who have
responsibility for line management of other
support staff. Unfortunately, we only have 50
places in total, and therefore suggest, one
delegate per school, on a first come, first
served basis. This workshop is designed to
introduce you to the concept of emotional
intelligence. Participants will get a feel for
how emotional intelligence can support us to
manage change and other stressful situations.
Throughout the workshop you will gain fascinating
insights into your self and how you deal with
situations, which you find difficult or
stressful, and how you can use emotional
intelligence to keep yourself out of your stress
zone. The impact that this can have for you as an
individual and for the work community is
explored. This workshop is a compelling
introduction to emotional intelligence.
Catherine Corrie has worked with children of all
ages as playgroup leader for the under-fives as
a teacher and senior manager in primary and
middle schools and as a youth worker with
adolescents. In addition to this experience and
that gained as a mother and grandmother, she
draws on her background in Counselling, NLP and
Personal Development Coaching and training in
Accelerated Learning, Anger management and
Emotional Intelligence. She is the author of
Becoming Emotionally Intelligent and she
delivers a variety of training, both nationally
and internationally, most recently in the USA and
Dubai, under the umbrella title of Developing an
Emotionally Intelligent School. She brings the
same enjoyment and enthusiasm to her training her
writing and her life.
