Basic Eligibility Checks
  • Is it fully complete?
  • Is it state aid compliant?
  • Does it match one of emdas Lisbon codes?
  • Does it fit with the Derby Local Investment Plan?
  • Is this project more relevant to ESF activity?

Your EOI should
  • Provide a clear definition of activities. You
    should explain the need for the project and be
    wary of just regurgitating what is detailed in
    Derbys Local Investment Plan or the ERDF
    Operational Programme
  • Show how activity will fit within the priority,
    strand and Derbys Local Investment Plan
  • Explain what is going to happen in the project
    and what the end user will receive
  • Demonstrate the uniqueness of the project
  • Not duplicate existing activity
  • Explain how your project aligns with the Business
    Support Simplification Programme
  • Not refer to strategies which are more than 3
    years old
  • Provide an explanation of partner roles are
    they relevant? You will need to detail if they
    are delivery or strategic partners

  • You should detail if your organisation has
    managed ERDF funding previously

General points to consider
  • Are you using this programmes outputs?
  • Have you given a justification for any high
    output costs? i.e. more intensive support
  • Do the costs add up?
  • Are the costs relevant to the activity?
  • Is there minimal to no Private sector funding?
