mental health and AOD services for youth
3Working with families and whanau enhances
outcomes for youth consumers through providing
benefits for youth, their families and mental
health and addiction services.
Participation involves family/whanau and
services deciding together on what they hope to
achieve and how this can be done effectively and
supportively (Lumb,2007)
There is a shift towards families being involved
at both a service delivery and a service
development level (Fitzgerald Gayler, 2007)

overview of how services may achieve this.
