Overarching Goal

• Students will have the opportunity to learn and
  utilize computer software tools in order to
  enhance their writing skills and editing
  techniques.

Context

• The lessons will be delivered to students in a
  classroom setting.
• Class size of 20 students
• Class sessions of forty-five minutes
• Every student or group will have a computer
• Computers will have OS 9.2 or higher, MS Word,
  Inspiration, iMovie, and fire wire capabilities
• Classrooms will be equipped with a projection
  system

Essay Project

• Goal To improve students ability to plan a
  well-organized five-paragraph essay.
• Objectives LWBAT
• use Inspiration (graphic organizer) to produce an
  outline.
• plan their essays more clearly and more quickly.
• use Microsoft Word to peer edit work using the
  track changes function.
• accept or reject changes made to their own paper
  with track changes.
