I couldnt believe it! We actually had our
first gig! And to make it even better it was
going to be at Six Flags! Before I say anything
else, I guess I should start from the beginning
and tell you the whole story of how our success
began. Well, me, my cousins and some of my
friends have a band called PUNKED.

Back to the story. Before we performed we knew
we MUST have new outfits. So we took off for the
mall. Kaitlin wanted to drive but I reminded her
that she had failed her driving test. So I drove.
The girls all bought ripped jeans, t-shirts, new
shoes, and markers. We decorated our shoes. We
thought we looked cool. The boys got shirts and
jeans. We decided to get a good nights rest and
leave early the next day so that we would have
time to ride some rides at Six Flags before our
concert.

The next morning we traveled in two cars with a
U-Haul on one of them for all of our instruments.
I dont know how both cars managed to stay
together the whole way. I also wondered why Zac
stared at me the whole way there.

When we got to Six Flags, we carried all of our
equipment to the stage. After that, we started
riding rides. On the Free Fall ride everything
started happening. First, I saw my worst enemy,
Bobbi Jo Johnson. She hates me because I got the
lead role in our school musical and she didnt.
Then these boys came up and started throwing
ice at us. I could have sworn that they looked
familiar, but they had sunglasses on so we
couldnt see their eyes. When we were the next in
line at the Free Fall, it broke down with people
on it. The same thing happened at the next ride.
It was beginning to feel like our luck was going
downhill.

When we had about forty-five minutes left before
the show, we tried the Thunder River ride. While
we were on that ride, we saw those boys again.
This time there were two girls with them, but I
couldnt tell who they were. It was finally time
to perform so we headed back to the stage.
Everyone was nervous. When the curtain opened and
we walked out on stage, we were shocked. There
were at least 500 people looking at us. When I
began singing, everyone started clapping and
yelling. We were pleasantly astonished.

After the show, we were surprised that people
were lining up to get our autographs. It was
incredible. We thought we were on the road to
fame. This guy from Play It Loud Record Company
approached us about a record deal. Of course, we
had to ask our parents for permission so I
reached for my cell phone. Our parents all
agreed. The music producer told us to be down
town at the recording studio tomorrow at 630 and
of course I said, Well be there!

Well, that sure made a story. That is how we got
our first record deal. We play at Six Flags every
other Saturday. Oh yeah, we also finally figured
out who those boys were that were throwing ice at
us. It was Bobbi Jo and her sister Mary Jane, and
their boyfriends. She eventually apologized for
all the trouble. I never figured out why Zac was
staring at me, but Ive noticed he still stares.
Also, Kaitlin finally got her driving license
after 2 more tries. We also wrote a song called,
Unbelievable. That is the title of our new CD.
It was because that first concert was
unbelievable. Im so glad that PUNKED was a
success.
