OUR HEADTEACHER'S MESSAGE
He says that he is happy to be here with
colleagues and adds that ANTALYA KARATAY LISESI
is a state educational institution which consists
of 76 teachersand 1400 pupils. The aim of our
school to make the students ask the questions
WHAT,WHY,HOW and WHERE and allow them to decide
about their own life.Our school has gained
outstanding success for the last 12 years of
background. Every year our school gets 90
success in the univrsity entrance exams and we
make a big effort to have a higher rate. In
2001 one of our students became the second of the
world and in 2002 a foreign language student
became the 4th of Turkey in the university
entrance exam. We have obtained a variety of
achievements trying to develop the
students abilities in social,cultural and
sports activities.For instance In 2002 the female
team of athletics who were the champion in Turkey
became the 4th team of the world. In 2002 and
2003 our student Baris ESEN gained a success in
the chess championshig and became the Turkish
chess champion and went toHungary and Azerbeycan
. He became the first of Europe there. In
2004 our student Nazif BOZYEL became the worlds
2nd long jumping champion at the race of the
worlds secondary schools athletics. In
2004 olympic games in Athens , our student
Binnaz USLU ,who was graduated from our school
last year, participated in the national female
team of 800 metres to represent us in Greece.
The objective of Karatay Highschool ,which
takes part in SOCRATES COMENIUS projects is to
present our countrys culture and to show that
the process of hospitality and tolerance has been
going on .We want to ensure that we are ready
for friendship . We are here to participate
in and rpresesnt our countrys values to you in
the meeting of civilizations. With my best
