  • A brief review

Process
  • Step 1
  • Send Hope an email with ADs request to post a
    vacant position (Hope then gets approval from Mr.
    OBrien).
  • Step 2
  • Hope will notify the department after she gets
    approval from Mr. OBrien.

  • Step 3
  • Department will update the position description
    and then email it to Hope so she can update in
    PeopleSoft.
  • Step 4
  • Once the position description has been updated in
    PeopleSoft, Hope will post the position in
    GatorJobs and notify the department.

  • Step 5
  • Each position posting will have a unique User ID
    and standard password for viewing applicants.
  • Hope will provide the User ID and password to the
    designated Department Contact via email.

  • Step 6
  • Each posting will post for a minimum of 7 days.
  • When posting closes, the department will be able
    to view their applicant pool.
  • The department and Hope will work together to
    verify the candidates meet the minimum
    qualifications prior to interviews.

  • Step 7
  • Before setting up interviews, send Hope an email
    of selected applicants so that she can verify
    their eligibility for employment.
  • After all interviews have been completed, and a
    leading candidate identified, a Background
    Request and Education Request form must be
    completed by the department and forwarded to Hope
    for processing.

  • Step 8
  • Other required paperwork must also be sent to
    Hope before an offer of employment is made. These
    items include
  • Social Security Card
  • Drivers License
  • Proof of Education
  • Experience Verification
  • Any special license the position might require

  • Step 9
  • Hope will notify the department once the
    background has been completed, processed, and
    cleared through all areas. (ie. Stadium if
    necessary)
  • If there is any problem with the background or
    something on it, Hope will notify the department.

Very Important
  • Wait until all processes have been completed
    before making an offer to a candidate!
  • If something shows up on a background after you
    have made an offer of employment, it could get
    complicated.
  • If a candidate fails the physical exam after you
    have made an offer, it will cause problems.

  • Step 10
  • On the day that the employee starts working, Hope
    will need to see them to complete the new hire/
    promotional paperwork.
