  • These training materials highlight important
    information regarding test administration
    policies and procedures.
  • Not all information from the test administration
    manual is included in this presentation, so it is
    imperative that school staff read and familiarize
    themselves with all information in the manual in
    addition to using these training materials.

  • American Institutes for Research (AIR) AIR is
    the assessment vendor for FSA assessments.
  • Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) DRC is the
    vendor responsible for processes associated with
    paper-based FSA materials, including printing,
    shipping, receiving, and scanning.
  • FSA Portal Resources and information for
    district and school personnel are located in the
    FSA Portal, which is accessed at
  • The portal is organized by user roles and also
    includes links to the Test Delivery System (TDS),
    Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE), and
    Online Reporting System (ORS).
  • Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) TIDE
    is the enrollment and user management system for
    the FSA assessments. Student enrollment and test
    eligibility information is managed via TIDE. All
    school and district personnel who will administer
    FSA assessments must have user accounts in TIDE.

Terms (cont.)
  • Test Delivery System (TDS) All computer-based
    FSA assessments are administered via TDS, which
    includes the Test Administrator Interface as well
    as the Student Interface.
  • Secure Browser The secure browser allows
    students to access the computer-based FSA
    assessments. This software must be installed on
    all computers or devices that will be used for
    student testing. A link to download the secure
    browser is located in the FSA Portal.
  • Online Reporting System (ORS) ORS allows school
    and district personnel to track the progress of
    student computer-based testing and access student
    results. ORS is accessed via the FSA Portal using
    the same username and password used to access
    other AIR systems.
  • Student Interface Students use the Student
    Interface to log into and take computer-based FSA
  • Test Administrator Interface Test administrators
    use the Test Administrator Interface to create
    and monitor test sessions for all computer-based
    FSA assessments.

Terms (cont.)
  • Session ID Session IDs are unique codes
    generated by the Test Administrator Interface. In
    addition to their Username and First Name,
    students use the Session ID to log into
    computer-based FSA assessments. Test
    Administrators must record the Session ID as part
    of their required administration information.
  • Test Tickets Test Tickets contain login
    information for students. Each student must have
    a test ticket to log into computer-based FSA
    assessments. Test tickets are generated in TIDE
    and contain the following fields Username, Last
    Name, First Name (password), Grade, Date of
    Birth, Student ID Number, District and School.
  • District/School Labels Districts and schools
    will receive District/School Labels, which must
    be applied to hand-gridded test and answer books.
    If a document is hand-gridded and an On- Demand
    PreID Label cannot be printed, then a
    District/School Label must be applied to ensure
    the students results are reported to the correct
    district and school.

  • DO NOT PROCESS Labels Districts and schools will
    receive DO NOT PROCESS Labels, which must be
    applied to any USED NOT TO BE SCORED test and
    answer books that should NOT be scanned or
    counted for participation (e.g., responses were
    transcribed into another test and answer book).
    The DO NOT PROCESS Label should be applied in the
    same location as the PreID or District/School
    Label and should cover the label currently on the
    test and answer book.
  • On-Demand PreID Labels On-Demand PreID Labels
    may be printed locally for any students who were
    not included in the original PreID upload for
    this administration or for students who
    transferred to a school after the PreID upload.
    Districts and schools will receive blank labels
    for printing On-Demand PreID Labels.
  • School Box Range Sheet The School Box Range
    Sheet shows the number of boxes packaged for each
    site within a district. For school sites, the
    School Box Range Sheet will identify the total
    number of boxes shipped to the school.

  • Any FSA system can be accessed from the FSA
    Portal at www.FSAssessments.org
  • The same username and password can be used for
    each of the systems

Accessing TIDE
  • Go to the portal www.FSAssessments.org
  • Select the appropriate role
  • Click the TIDE icon

Accessing TIDE
  • To access TIDE, you will need
  • Username (email address) and password
  • High-speed internet connection
  • Supported Internet browser
  • JavaScript and Disabled pop-up blockers
  • School Assessment Coordinators are responsible
    for entering other school-level users into TIDE.
  • School Assessment Coordinators can add other
    Coordinator or Test Administrator (TA) accounts.
  • Once your account is set up, your username and
    password will be used to access all FSA systems
    (TIDE, Test Administrator TA Interface, Online
    Reporting System ORS).

TIDE User Roles
  • TIDE is organized by user role and access to
    certain tasks and functions are assigned to
    specific roles.
  • A detailed list of roles and their access to
    tasks are available in the TIDE User Guide.

First Time Users
  • Initial SAC accounts will be created by SAR.
  • Instructions for creating and managing user
    accounts are in the TIDE User Guide.
  • Newly added users will receive an automated email
    that contains the following
  • Their assigned user role(s)
  • The applications to which they have access
  • A secure, temporary, one-time link to activate
    the account
  • If a school user has not received this email, or
    if the link has expired, contact SAR.

Logging In
  • When prompted, the user should enter his or her
    username (email) and password.
  • After a user has logged in, he or she may be
    prompted to choose an administration, depending
    on role.

TIDE Home Screen
Manage Users Tab
  • The Manage Users tab may be used to
  • Search for existing user records
  • Export a list of existing user records
  • View and/or edit existing user records
  • Delete an existing user record
  • Add new user (individual user)

Manage Users Add User
  • To add an individual user, select the Add User
  • Select the role that will be assigned to the
    user, fill in the required fields, and click Add

Manage Users View/Edit Users
  • To view or edit users, select the sub-tab
    View/Edit Users.
  • Use the search feature to find the user(s) you
    wish to view or edit.
  • Select a role and school from the drop-down
    menus, and fill in additional information to help
    narrow results.
  • Click the Search button after all search criteria
    have been selected/entered.

Manage Users View/Edit Users
  • To view or edit a users record, click the View
    button next to the users name.
  • Authorized users may edit the users first name,
    last name, and phone number.
  • Click Save to save changes or Go Back To Search
    Results to return to results without making

Manage Users Export a List of Users
  • To export the list of users, click the check
    all box at the top of the table or select a
    subgroup of users by clicking the check box next
    to each record you want to include in the export.
  • Click Export and select the desired export format
    (Excel or CSV).

  • To delete a user, click the check box next to the
    users record and click the Delete button.
  • A confirmation screen will appear.

Student Information Tab
  • The Student Information tab may be used to

Student Information Tab Add Student
  • To add a single student record, select the
    sub-tab Add Student.
  • Select the correct district and school and fill
    in other required information.
  • Save the entry.

Student Information Tab View/Edit Students
  • To view or edit student records, select the
    sub-tab View/Edit Students.
  • Use the search feature to find student(s) you
    wish to view or edit.
  • Select a school and fill in other information to
    help narrow results.
  • Click Search.

  • To view a students record, click the View button
    for that record.

View Student Student Information
  • The top of the View Student Details box contains
    the demographic information for the selected
  • School Assessment Coordinators will also be able
    to edit all student information except for the
    students SID on this screen.
  • Student Information can be updated before or
    after testing.

Student Information Export a List of Students
  • Search for students. You may sort the results by
    clicking on the column header.
  • You may select a subgroup of students for export
    by clicking the check box next to each record you
    want to include in the export.
  • To export the list of students, click Export and
    select the desired export format (Excel or CSV).

Student Information Printing Test Tickets for
Online Testing
  • Students taking an online test will be required
    to have a test ticket.
  • From the student search results page, select all
    students or a subgroup of students, and click
    Print Test Tickets.
  • The tickets containing the students username and
    other demographic information will be made
    available for printing.
  • Note To print Test Tickets by class code, use
    the additional search criteria when searching for
    students on the View/Edit Student tab.

Student Information Printing PreID Labels for
Paper-based Testing
  • PreID labels are included in the test materials
  • In the case that a students information on the
    PreID label is incorrect, or a student has
    changed school/district, labels can be printed
    on-demand in TIDE after the students information
    is updated in TIDE.
  • To Print PreID Labels,
  • Click the checkbox next to the student(s) and
    click Print PreID Labels.
  • A file will open with the new PreID Labels.
  • Print on the additional blank labels provided in
    the paper-based materials shipment.

Test Administrator Interfacefor Online Testing
Test Administrator Preparation for Online Testing
  • To administer either an online training test or
    an online operational test, you will need to
  • Install the secure browser on student
    workstations or devices.
  • Review that students are enrolled for the test to
    be administered using TIDE.
  • Set up a Test Session and provide the Session ID
    to students.
  • When students log in, ensure they have a Test
    Ticket and enter their Username and first name as
    they appear on the test ticket.

Accessing the Test Administrator Interface
  • The Test Administrator Interface (TA Interface)
    is accessed from the user pages on the FSA
  • Go to the portal at www.FSAssessments.org/
  • Select the appropriate user card
  • Click the Test Administration or TA Training Test
  • Sign in using your Username and Password

Test Administrator Home Page
Starting a Test
  • You must start a test session before students can
    log in to test.
  • Click Writing Field Test
  • Click Start Session
  • The Session ID is generated automatically.
  • Provide the Session ID to students

Approving Students
  • Before students log in
  • Approvals button is not clickable and says
    Approvals (0).
  • Preview table says No students awaiting
  • After students log in and request approval
  • Approvals button is clickable and says Approvals
  • Preview table lists each student and his or her
    selected test.

Approving Students to Test
  • After clicking the Approvals button, the
    following screen appears
  • Click See Details to view student test settings.
  • Click Approve to allow students to begin testing.
  • Click Deny to reject a student request to take a
  • Use the Approve All Students button to approve
    all students listed.
  • The Refresh button updates the list of students
    awaiting approval.

Student Lookup Feature
  • Click Student Lookup.
  • Use the Quick Search or Advanced Search tabs.

Student Login
  • After opening the secure browser, students will
    use the information from their Test Ticket to
  • Students will be shown a screen to confirm their
    demographic information.
  • Students will be asked to select a test. The
    first time the student signs in, the green arrow
    will be solid. When a student is resumed or signs
    in for Session 2, the green arrow will be
  • A test confirmation page will appear, and
    students will then await approval from the TA to
    enter the test.

Monitoring Student Progress
  • After students have logged in and the Test
    Administrator has approved them to begin testing,
    the test session table at the bottom of the
    screen will display each student currently logged
    in to the session. Test Administrators must leave
    this screen open but should be actively
    monitoring the classroom.

Ending a Test Session
  • Ending Session 1/Day 1 of Testing
  • After students finish responding to the first
    prompt and have reviewed their answers, students
    will click PAUSE on the Review screen.
  • After all students are finished testing or after
    the test session is ended, Test Administrators
    will click the STOP SESSION button in the upper
    left corner of the screen. An Important! box
    will appear, requesting verification to end the
    session and log students out.
  • Ending Session 2/Day 2 of Testing
  • Note on Session 2/Day 2 TAs will create a new
    test session, and approve students to test.
    Students should select to resume the test with
    the green segmented arrow.
  • After students finish responding to the second
    prompt, students will click END TEST. They will
    review their response and then click Submit Test.
  • After all students are finished testing or after
    the test session is ended, Test Administrators
    will click the STOP SESSION button.

Timing Out
  • As a security measure, Test Administrators are
    automatically logged out after 90 minutes of user
    inactivity and student inactivity in a test
    session. This will result in closure of the test
    session.  Note
  • If a Test Administrator is logged out due to
    inactivity and students, the Test Administrator
    has to create a new test session and provide
    another Session ID to allow students to log back
    into the test.
  • The Test Administrator should set up the session
    no earlier than 90 minutes before students begin
    to test.
  • Test Administrators will not be logged out as
    long as students are actively testing.

Paper-based Testing
  • School shipments will contain planning sheets for
    both paper-based and online testing, and test
    booklets for paper-based testing (grades 4-7
  • Paper-based testing procedures are outlined in
    the Writing Field Test posted to the FSA Portal.
  • Labels will be provided for return shipments of
    test booklets and other non-scorable testing

Test Security
  • Per Test Security Statute, s. 1008.24, F.S., and
    Florida State Board Rule, 6A-10.042, FAC,
    inappropriate actions by school or district
    personnel can result in student or classroom
    invalidations, loss of teaching certification,
    and/or involvement of law enforcement.
  • Examples of prohibited activities include the
  • Reading the Writing prompts before, during, or
    after testing
  • Revealing the Writing prompts
  • Copying the Writing prompts
  • Explaining or reading the Writing prompts for
  • Copying or reading student responses or used
    planning sheets
  • Changing or otherwise interfering with student
  • Causing achievement of schools to be inaccurately
    measured or reported

Test Irregularities/ Missing Materials
  • Test administrators should report any test
    irregularities (e.g., disruptive students) and
    possible security breaches to the school
    assessment coordinator immediately.
  • Schools must investigate ANY report of missing
    materials and report missing secure materials to
    Student Assessment Research (SAR) immediately
    at 754-321-4250.
  • If a test irregularity or security breach is
    identified, the school assessment coordinator
    must contact SAR to discuss possible test

Test Irregularities/ Security Breaches
  • For test irregularities requiring further
    investigation by the district and for security
    breaches, a written report and supporting
    documentation must be submitted within 7 working
    days after the irregularity or security breach
    was identified. The report must include
  • The nature of the situation
  • The time and place of the occurrence
  • The names of the people involved
  • Copies of completed forms
  • A description of the communication between the
    district assessment coordinators office and
    school personnel
  • How the incident was resolved
  • What steps are being taken to avoid future test
    irregularities or security breaches
  • Schools should submit completed reports and
    supporting documentation to SAR to be forwarded
    to the FLDOE.

Electronic Devices
  • Students may not have any electronic or recording
    devices at their desks, in their pockets, or
    anywhere they can reach them during testing or
    break, even if they are turned off or they do not
    use them.
  • If a student is found to be in possession of ANY
    electronic devices during testing OR during a
    break, his or her test must be invalidated.
  • Students and parents/guardians should be made
    aware of this policy prior to testing.

Before Testing
Communicate Testing Policies
  • Electronic Devices PolicyIf students are found
    with ANY electronic devices, including, but not
    limited to, cell phones and smartphones, during
    testing OR during breaks, their tests will be
  • Leaving CampusIf students leave campus before
    completing the test (for lunch, an appointment,
    or illness, etc.), they WILL NOT be allowed to
    complete the test.
  • Discussing Test Content after TestingThe last
    portion of the testing rules read to students

    prompt with anyone. This includes any type of
    electronic communication, such as texting,
    emailing, or posting online, for example, on
    websites like Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

  • Maintain an accurate Test Materials Chain of

    SCORED materials.

Prepare Test Materials
  • School personnel must adhere to the following
    policies as they prepare student materials
  • School staff may verify and apply PreID labels
    and/or complete student grid sheets no sooner
    than 3 days prior to testing (January 28).
  • Only the school assessment coordinator and school
    personnel designated by the building/site
    administrator may open the shrink-wrapped
    packages and affix labels.
  • Students are not permitted to assist in preparing
    secure materials before testing or in organizing
    and returning materials after testing.
  • After preparation, all secure materials must be
    returned to locked storage and remain there until
    testing begins.

Chain of Custody Form
  • Schools are required to maintain a Test Materials
    Chain of Custody Form located at
    www.FSAssessments.org and in Appendix D.
  • Record accurate information on the form,
    including the dates and times activities are
    completed, the names of the people performing
    activities involving the materials, and
    information about the locked storage room.
  • Retain electronic or hard copies of completed
    forms after materials are packaged for return.

District-Level Certification Form
  • Non-certified school personnel designated by the
    school administrator to assist test chairperson
    in handling secure materials for statewide
    assessments must be granted approval by the
    FLDOE. (Please refer to Weekly Briefing ID
  • Last deadline to submit completed form to SAR
    for approval is December 19.
  • Signed Test Administration and Security Agreement
    Form must also be submitted with form.
  • The approval will be valid for the remainder of
    the school year.

Writing FT test and answer books PBT Materials
Grades 4-7 Only
  • Writing documents for grades 4-7 include security
    numbers to assist in the tracking of these secure
  • A security number consists of the last eight
    digits of the identification number (located
    under the barcode on the right).
  • School assessment coordinators and test
    administrators must maintain records of required
    administration information that include the
    security numbers of Writing test and answer books
    assigned to them.
  • If a Writing test and answer book or planning
    sheet is soiled, it must be reported to SAR at

PreID Labels PBT Test Materials Grades 4-7 Only
  • PreID file is based on student information as of
    early December
  • The PreID roster should be verified against the
    schools student information database.
  • Verify that students with PreID labels are still
    enrolled and will be tested.
  • ONE element MUST be correct on a student PreID
  • Florida ID number
  • Destroy labels in a secure manner if the FL ID
    is incorrect. Create a new record in TIDE for the
    student and print an On-Demand PreID label.
  • If any other preidentified information (e.g.,
    date of birth) is incorrect, use the label and
    update the student record in TIDE.

PreID Labels PBT Test Materials Grades 4-7
  • District/School Labels
  • Student grid sheets do not include fields for
    entering district and school numbers.
  • If a document is hand-gridded and an On-Demand
    PreID label cannot be printed, then the
    District/School Label must be applied.
  • However, PreID labels should be used whenever

Conduct Infrastructure Test
  • CBT schools should do a brief infrastructure test
    on your computer labs prior to conducting the
    actual field test.
  • Download the FSA Infrastructure Trial Guide from
  • Work with your microtech to ensure the secure
    browser has been installed on all machines that
    will test.
  • TAs will use the TA Interface Training Site to
    set up sessions
  • Students will use the secure browser but will use
    the Practice Test link at the bottom of the
    screen instead of the main login

Train Test Administrators and Proctors
  • Train all test administrators and proctors,
    including non-school-based instructors (e.g.,
    itinerant teachers). You must train several
    employees to act as possible alternates.
  • Test administrators must be certified educators.
  • Distribute test administration manuals and
    instruct test administrators to read ALL
    appropriate sections including the important
    information and instructions between the SAY
    boxes .
  • Script must be read VERBATIM to students.
  • Test administrators must NOT administer the FSA
    ELA Writing Field Test to their family members or
  • Under no circumstances may a students
    parent/guardian be present in a students testing
  • Encourage test administrators to use the
    checklist found in the Portal at

Train Test Administrators and Proctors for CBT
  • If a students computer is disconnected from the
    test, contact the technology coordinator to help
    diagnose any technical issues, or contact the
    school assessment coordinator to resume that
    students test.
  • If a student has continual difficulty logging in
    or gets kicked out of the test more than once, do
    not have the student continue attempting to log
    in until the issue is diagnosed and resolved.
  • If students finish the test before the allotted
    time for the session has elapsed, you may
    encourage them to go back and check their work.
  • At the end of Session 2, assist students with
    accessing the student comment form at
    fsasessments.org/student-comment-form, as needed

Train Test Administrators and Proctors for CBT
  • Provide instructions for test administrators to
    handle these circumstances.
  • A student has trouble logging in the first time.
  • A student refuses to acknowledge the Testing
  • A test administrator is concerned that a student
    is unable (e.g., too ill) to finish the test.
  • A disruption occurs (e.g., a technical
    disruption, power outage, disruptive behavior)

  • School Personnel may
  • Prepare, distribute, and collect materials under
    direct supervision of the test administrator
  • Complete student grid sheets
  • Non-school Personnel may
  • Assist in monitoring test administration only
  • Only be used as an extra pair of eyes
  • M-DCPS students may NOT serve as proctors.
  • FLDOE strongly recommends that a proctor be
    assigned to rooms with 30 or fewer students
    whenever possible.

Security Agreement Forms
  • Test administrators and proctors must sign
    and return a Test Administration
    and Security Agreement,
    which indicates that they

  • Understand and agree to adhere to all test
    security and administration policies and
  • Test administrators are required to sign a Test

Prepare the Room for Testing
  • Use classrooms whenever possible.
  • Make sure that each room is free of distractions
    and has

  • Sufficient workspace
  • Adequate ventilation
  • Avoid testing in a cafeteria, gymnasium,
    auditorium, or library whenever possible.

  • Ensure that all software applications, including
    Internet browsers, are closed on all student
  • Start Test Delivery System (TDS) (AIR), type in
    the correct URL, and open each student
    workstation to the student login screen.
  • Ensure that the test administrator has a way to
    contact the technology coordinator or school
    coordinator during testing without leaving the
    room unattended.

Security Log
  • A Security Log must be maintained for each
    testing room.
  • Anyone who enters a room for the purpose of
    monitoring a test MUST sign the log for that
    testing room.

Seating Charts
  • An accurate seating chart must be maintained for
    each testing room. Seating charts must record the
    following information
  • Room name/number
  • Subject
  • Student names and their location in the room
    during testing
  • Direction students are facing
  • Date
  • Session starting and stopping times
  • Test administrator name
  • Names of proctors (if applicable)
  • Session ID (CBT), generated in TDS when the test
    session is created by the test administrator
  • Laptop/mobile device assignments (if applicable)
  • All seating charts must indicate the front and
    back of the room.
  • If the seating configuration changes during
    testing, a new seating chart must be created.

Administration Record/Security Checklist
  • School assessment coordinators may use the
    security checklist to record the security numbers
    of the documents assigned to and returned by each
    test administrator, for grades 4-7.
  • A blank version of the form can be found in
    Appendix D and in the portal at
  • Pre-populated lists with security numbers for all
    secure test and answer books assigned to each
    school are available electronically under the
    Orders tab in TIDE at www.fsasssessments.org.
    Be sure to select the correct test administration
    (Winter 2014 FSA ELA Writing FT).

Required Administration Information
  • Test Administrators must record and maintain the
    following required administration information
  • Students assigned to the room
  • Security numbers of assigned Test and answer
    books (Grades 4-7 only)
  • Attendance information
  • Grade level
  • Session ID (CBT) (NEW)
  • Accommodations provided
  • Accommodations used
  • Unique security number of secure documents
    assigned to each student
  • Signatures of test administrator and school
    assessment coordinator
  • Dates for when Writing FT test and answer books
    are received and returned

During Testing
Supervise Test Administration
  • Students taking the PBT MUST use No. 2 pencils
  • Students do not have books, notes, scratch paper
    (other than their planning sheets), or electronic
    devices of any kind
  • Students are using the correct assigned Writing
    test and answer book and planning sheet
  • Students have signed below the Testing Rules
  • Students do not talk or make any disturbance
  • Students are working independently
  • Students who use their planning sheets allow
    themselves enough time to write complete
    responses in their Writing test and answer books
  • Students are recording their responses in the
    appropriate area

Supervise Test Administration (cont.)
  • It is not appropriate to use cell or classroom
    phones, grade papers, or work on the computer
    during testing.
  • Students may be encouraged to continue working,
    but do NOT talk with them about the prompt or
    help them with their responses.
  • If students finish the test before the allotted
    time for the session has elapsed, they may be
    encouraged to go back and check their work.
  • FSA ELA Writing Field Test is administered in two
    90-minute sessions, over two days. Students may
    continue testing, if needed, for an additional 30
  • Test materials may NOT be collected prior to the
    end of the 90-minute test session.
  • Keep accurate time and display times for students
    as instructed in the script.
  • For Grades 4-7, security number(s) of the writing
    test and answer book(s) assigned to and returned
    by each student MUST be recorded and verified at
    the completion of testing.

Monitor Testing
  • Distribute test materials (ie. Writing test and
    answer books, planning sheets), as applicable, to
    students in each testing room immediately before
    testing is scheduled to begin.
  • Provide test administrators with additional
    materials, as necessary.
  • Monitor each testing room to ensure that test
    administration and test security policies and
    procedures are followed, seating charts and
    Security Logs are properly completed, and
    required administration information is collected.
  • Be available during testing to answer questions
    from test administrators.
  • Technical issues that are not immediately
    resolved must be reported to SAR and/or I and T
    staff for support and guidance.

After Testing
Test Invalidation
  • A test MUST be invalidated if either of the
    following circumstances occurs
  • A student has an electronic device during testing
  • A student is cheating during testing
  • A student is given an accommodation not allowed
    in the Writing test
  • An error occurs in test administration or
    procedures that could compromise the validity of
    test results
  • A student is given unauthorized help during
  • A test MAY be invalidated if one of the following
    circumstances occurs
  • A student becomes ill and is unable to finish
  • A student is given an accommodation not indicated
    on the students IEP, Section 504 plan, or ELL
  • A student was not provided an allowable
    accommodation indicated on the students IEP,
    Section 504 plan, or ELL plan
  • A student is not allowed the correct amount of
  • A disruption occurs during testing (e.g., severe
  • A student is disruptive during testing

Invalidations Tab in TIDE
  • The Invalidations tab may be used by School
    Assessment Coordinators to create and view test
  • Important note
  • Each invalidation or reset must be submitted

Invalidations Create Invalidations in TIDE
  • Select Invalidate a Test from the drop-down menu.
  • Search for student by FL ID Number, Username, or
    Session ID.
  • If you selected search by Username, enter the
    students username in the field.
  • Click the Search Student Results button to search
    for tests based on selected criteria.
  • Find the students test you wish to invalidate
    and enter a reason.
  • Click the Create button for the test you are

Invalidations View Invalidations
  • Use the View Invalidations tab to review the
    invalidations that were created.
  • Use the steps to search for an individual student
    or a group of students in a particular category.
  • The Status column indicates the status of each
    invalidation. To export data, click the Export
    button just above the table.

Organize Materials
  • Verify that all distributed secure materials have
    been returned. Complete the Test Materials Chain
    of Custody Form.
  • Report any missing materials to SAR at
    754-321-4250 and conduct the necessary
  • Make copies of all collected required
    administration information, seating charts,
    Security Logs, and Chain of Custody forms.
  • Inspect students Writing test and answer books
    for stray marks ONLY on student grid sheets,
    verify that each student has completed the
    required information in the upper left corner of
    the grid sheet, and remove any stray planning
    sheets. Do NOT open Writing test and answer books
    or review student responses.
  • Check to make sure DNS bubbles have not been
    gridded by mistake and that DNS bubbles are
    gridded on invalidated test documents.
  • Organize test materials and hand-deliver
    (charters) or pony to SAR by the scheduled return
