Be prepared
  • Check for ADs for particular aeroplane engine
    to be inspected before arrival
  • Make sure aeroplane owner is an Aero Club member
  • Aeroplane paperwork contact owner to check
    assist if necessary
  • Relevant aeroplane maintenance manual

AEROPLANE INSPECTION
  • TO OFFER A SERVICE TO THE OWNER THESE MUST BE
    IN OR ON THE AIRCRAFT
  • Identification plate
  • Documentation required in aircraft
  • Certificate of registration
  • Inspection reminder to be updated at end of
    inspection
  • Compass card
  • Authority to fly
  • Radio station licence in date
  • Approved mass and balance within 5 years
  • Equipment list
  • Sacaa approved aircraft flight manual
  • Flight folio correctly filled in
  • Map of area
  • Signal strips
  • First aid equipment - in date
  • Fire extinguisher in date

  • Check ADs are complied with
  • Checks as per manufacturers specifications
  • Make sure checklist per aircraft type
  • Complete checklist
  • Use the appropriate AP stamp
  • Complete release to service
  • Sign airframe logbook after inspection
  • Wording as per legislation
