  • Remember?
  • The ASCP RISE was an online exam for the first
    time in 2003. While it was for the most part
    successful, there were a few significant
    problems
  • Image quality was not acceptable.
  • The online exam format was somewhat inflexible.
  • Reports were not available as early as needed and
    some were confusing.

  • More than 2500 residents took the exam
  • 72 others took examfellows, program directors,
    faculty

ASCP Resident Review Course
  • 6-day AP/CP comprehensive course
  • Attended mostly be residents in last 2 years of
    training, also some practicing pathologists
  • Experienced ASCP faculty
  • Lectures focused on material useful in practice
  • Next course April, 2005

ASCP CheckPath and STAR
  • CheckPath and STAR (GYN and nonGYN) available
    free to residents as additional participants to
    your laboratory
  • Program Directors receive reports for each
    participating resident, with comparisons to all
    residents in program
