YFC is a national Christian charity Founded in
1946 by Billy Graham

British Youth In Crisis
There are 7.2 million teenagers in Britain
  • Britain has the highest number of babies born
    to teenage mothers in Europe.
  • Over a third of British children officially
    live below the poverty line.
  • Half of 16-19 year olds experiment with at
    least one illegal drug.
  • The number of anti-social behaviour orders
    (A.S.B.Os) issued more than doubled last year
  • 1 in 10 youth (aged 11-15) admit to carrying a
    knife.
  • 450 children start smoking every day in the UK
  • 1 in 9 young people run away from home 77,000
    every year
  • 1 in 10 teenagers deliberately self harm
  • 60 of teens consider taking their own life
  • Binge drinking is common among children as
    young as 13
  • 1 in 4 teenagers are bullied via their mobile
    phone or PC
  • The number of young people in our churches has
    halved in the last two decades.
  • 1,000 young people abandon church every week
