A Proposed Active Retirement Community in Malaysia

A Proposed Active Retirement Community in Malaysia
  • After more than four decades of gaining
independence, Malaysia is showing a trend of
    becoming an older nation.
  • The population of 23 million strong is undergoing
an ageing process, and 10 of the total
    population consists of the elderly.
  • Since the 1997 census there has been a 40
increase in the population of people over 60
years, bringing the number close to 1.4 million.

A Proposed Active Retirement Community in Malaysia
  • Granley Heights is a retirement community
project, the first of its kind in Malaysia. It is
an active retirement home, whereby residents have
to be over 55, in good health and able.
  • We believe that after 55, people strive for more
resort style living. Their children are all grown
up and have their own lives, work is winding down
slowly, it is now time to relax and enjoy life.
  • At Granley Heights, there are only 168 units of
both low-rise apartment types and single storey
court- yard units. Each has been designed
meticulously with the active retiree in mind.

  • Located in Kajang, a short 40 minute drive out
of Kuala Lumpur, Granley Heights is perched on a
hill with views of the surrounding Kajang area.
  • Amenities and facilities include a pool, bar and
lounge, a full service restaurant, TV rooms,
fully equipped clinic, Spa, gym, pool table,
games rooms, library, computer room, arts and
craft room and a putting green.
  • There are over 9 golf courses nearby and there
will be a village bus to transport you there and
back. In the center of the development there is
over half an acre of greenery, with jogging track
    and reflexology stone path.
  • Each individual unit has either one or two
bedrooms, a kitchenette, living area, all
bedrooms are ensuite, additional guest toilet, a
utility room and a balcony or court yard
    depending on the unit.

  • Security is also of utmost importance to us, so
there will be a 24-hour emergency assistance
system with 3 push button points in your
individual unit. CCTVs around the perimeter of
the property and round the clock security guard
service. You can take a stroll in the evenings
    and not have to worry.
  • External maintenance at Granley Heights is the
responsibility of the management as is the
maintenance of the clubhouse, your facilities fee
and your service charge will cover this.
  • There will be daily cleaning provided for each
individual unit, except for Sundays. At Granley
Heights, there is no need for a maid or driver,
    leave it to us.
