High Fructose Corn Syrup
  • Derived from corn starch

  • Doesnt metabolize!

  • A red azo food dye, used as a coloring agent
    (think orange soda)

  • Approved by FDA for cosmetics, drugs and food
  • Previously made from coal tar, now made from
    petroleum
  • Cause allergic reactions to aspirin sensitive
    people

  • Organic chemical compound
  • Colorless, flammable liquid with a sweet smell
  • Important industrial solvent in plastics, drugs,
    rubber, dyes, detergents, explosives, pesticides
  • Widely produced in styrene

  • Breathing high levels can result in death
  • Breathing low levels can cause dizziness,
    drowsiness, headaches, tremors, etc.

  • Look for ingredients you understand
