  • Chapters in edited books are almost always by
    invitation of editors.
  • Books are often by series editors invitations.
Sometimes by sending a book proposal for this
check what Routledge, Sage or Open University
Press etc have on their websites about sending
proposals, and write as much as possible as

  • For international refereed journals check very
carefully what is inside the front cover and back
cover of the journal. Write your article so it is
what this particular journal wants to publish.
  • Look at the names of editors, board members and
international consultants these will be your
reviewers. Select some who are close to your own
work and read what they have published. Put this
    into your reference list.
  • Select two articles this particular journal has
recently published and write your article in
    relation to these.
