  • Maintaining pelvic floor health is very important
for women, especially as they get older and the
muscles weaken. Kegel Exercises are done to

Understand Pelvic Floor
  • The pelvic floor is actually a group of muscles
and tissue that forms a sling, or hammock, at the
bottom of your pelvis. Sling works to support and
hold your organs in place. Stress incontinence is
often the result of a weak pelvic. Any pressure
from actions like laughing, sneezing, and
exercise can cause urine to leak past the
weakened muscles. Women can try Kegel Exercises
as a first step towards strengthening the muscles
    that support the bladder.

3
Factors Which Leads To Weak Pelvic Floor Muscles
  • Strain or trauma to the pelvic floor often
weakens it. Some of these experiences include
    pregnancy, childbirth, surgery, aging, excessive
straining from constipation or chronic coughing,
and obesity. Additionally, as women enter
menopause their pelvic floor muscles could start
    to weaken.
