About Visa 884
Contributory aged parent visa 884 is temporary
visa lets the aged parent of a settled Australian
citizen, Australian permanent resident or
eligible New Zealand citizen stay temporarily in
Australia. The visa subclass 884 allows aged
parents who are in Australia on a temporary basis
and who have children living in Australia, to
live in Australia for two years. You cannot
extend or renew this visa but you can apply for
permanent visa.

How long you can stay
This is a temporary visa. You can stay in
Australia for 2 years. The Visa 884 period starts
on the date visa granted.

Stay Longer
You can't stay in Australia longer by extending
or reapplying for this visa. If you want to stay
longer you can apply for a different visa.

Include Family
You can include your family members in your
application when you apply. The contributory aged
parent visa 884 Australia lets you include your
family members with this visa.

family members in your application form whether
they are migrating or not. Family members who
apply for the visa must meet the health and charac
ter requirement. Family members who are not
coming to Australia also have to meet health and
