Earlier this Month McDonalds tries to take a
shot on the coffee shops with its newest Menu,
and to ensure everyone give it a try , McDonalds
launched a 2 Deal for its new selection of
caramel macchiato, vanilla cappuccino, and
americano. The 2 Deal was extend to other coffee
items in the menu like its Mocha latte.

From the firs glance 2 is a good deal for any
latte, macchiato, McDonalds aim to fix the price
to 2.95 ( 1 lower than Starbucks ). The news
about the new deal has terrified the villagers ,
every main news paper and magazine featured it.
Business Insider went as far as claim that
Starbucks should be terrified with that new menu,
McDonalds seems to get everything right. The new
design is promising, the price is seducing, but
they forgot 1 problem, the coffee taste terrible,
anyone who knows Macchiato, Latte, Mocha, or ever
tried them in a real coffee shop, would never
waste a penny on this new selection.

McDonalds selection came to be too sweet, of
course those items are meant to be sweet, but
when they went to be too sweet, they killed the
purpose of drinking coffee. The coffee is not
en-crafted by a parista, instead a McDonalds
staff click a button on a machine and slap some
whip cream on top of it. Very poor experience.
That went very wrong for McDonalds.

I tried to go back for different drinks hoping my
experience would get any better, unfortunately it
continued to get worse.
I dont believe this is one way ticket going
downhill, McDonalds still able to recover from
this but they need to act fast, the only drink
that still worth drinking is really the black
coffee.

If McDonalds aim to fix this , they will need to
start hiring coffee experts, and real coffee
drinkers to understand the taste of the market.
There is a good reason even with this new deal
McDonalds hardly getting enough orders when
Starbucks next door doesnt have enough places
for people to set down

Most importantly, if they going to offer coffee,
they need a Parista on site, someone who is
trained and familiar on how to make a good coffee
