2Introduction- Brain Cancer
Brain cancer includes primary tumor in the brain,
part of the central nervous system, Brain gives
the command and takes control of every part of
the body including speech movements of the body,
feeling, memory, vision, hearing and everything
that do our body.
Brain cancer includes a primary tumor in the
brain, this types of tumor not spread to others
parts, only travel distance to brain then called
brain tumor and secondary tumor (metastases) is
another part of the body and it can spread
anywhere in the body. A metastatic brain tumor is
common as a primary brain tumor. Some cancer
cells spread to the brain, lung, colon, kidney,
and breast etc affected.
3Types of Brain Cancer
Brain tumor is known as abnormal growth of cells
in brain. There are over 120 different types of
brain tumors cancer. One of the most common types
of brain tumor called as gliomas.
- Abnormal growth of cells in brain form brain
tumor, but not all tumor have cancer. Malignant
tumor form brain cancer. - Growth rate of Malignant tumor so fast and its
spread. aggressively, overpowering healthy cells
by taking their space, blood, and nutrients and
also spread to another part of the body and
disturbance the control power of brain. - Tumors do not affect to nearby part of body and
spread to another part it called benign. - Benign tumor is less powerful to malignant tumor
but benign tumor affect many problem in the brain.

5Stages of Brain Cancer
- Doctors used TNM (Tumor, Node, Metastasis)system
to specify stages of cancer. - T T denotes the size of tumor or cancer
- N N denotes the cancer has spread to the lymph
nodes - M M denotes the cancer has spread to the
another parts of body. - Number Staging system used by TNM system
- Stage 1 In this stage size of cancer is small
and it obtain in organ. - Stage 2 In this stage size of cancer is larger
than stage 1 cancer and not spread to another
part of body. - Stage 3 In this stage cancer size is larger
than stage 2 and also spread to lymph of the
body. - Stage 4 In this stage cancer is larger and
spread to another part of the body.
6Symptoms of Brain Cancer
Many brain tumor are not causes any symptoms such
types of tumor only find with the test of CT
Scan or MRI but at other side symptoms of brain
cancer is very common to the patient such as
- Headache
- Weakness
- Clumsiness
- Difficulty walking
- Seizures
- Sensory
- Deep venous thrombosis
- Hearing loss
- Fatigue
- Depression
- Behavioral and cognitive
- Endocrine dysfunction
- Change in personality

8Side-effect of Brain Cancer
A side-effect of brain cancer treatment is a long
term effect, but not for everyone. Radiation
therapy is basically best treatment for brain
cancer but also have many long term short term
side-effect. Every oncologist is unable to say
whos have which side-effect but radiation
therapy side-effect only for these areas where it
treated.
- Some Side-effect start after few weeks of
treatment these are- - Overeating
- Sleepiness
- Lack of energy
- Some Side-effect in brain function
- Confusion
