IMPORTANT TIPS FOR OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY
2
  • The most difficult and tough part of photography
for both new as well as master photographers is
lighting. Many of the professional photographers
are well skilled in managing the lighting for
photography but when it comes to outdoor
photography they all get confused as one cannot
control the intensity of sunlight which makes
outdoor photography a difficult task. One can get
a perfect outdoor shot if some of the tips and
    suggestions are followed.

Get the perfect shot with a professional
photographer
  • As newbie's Outdoor Photographers one should
remember that it is good to make the subject face
the sun as for eliminating the chances of
formation of shadows and the back of the
photographer should be in the direction of sun.
it is suggested to check the calendar and notice
the time of sunset and sunrise in advance only
for getting the perfect shot as per required. An
hour before the sunset can also be regarded as an
ideal time for performing outdoor photography as
it gives an amazing and mesmerizing glow to the
pictures. In the evening also it is good to make
the subject face the sun and the photographers
back should be in the direction of sun.

Perfect time to shoot
  • It is generally not suggested to shoot during day
as during day time the sun will be above the
subject and this will result in formation of
harsh shadows on the face of the subject which
will ruin the photo. One cannot even control the
intensity of the light in the daytime.
  • The most common question which arises in the
minds of common people is whether flash is
necessary in outdoor photography or not. Need of
flash completely depends upon the situation and
location of photography. If the subject is facing
the sun then flash is not important but if they
are not facing the sun then one can use an on
camera speed light. If in case there are some
trees or buildings which are casting shadows on
the subject in that situation also one is
    required to use flash.

5
  • For getting the perfect shot Professional
Photography is required. One cannot give the
specific hour to shoot outside as the specific
time will change throughout the year. In general
it is well known that right after sunrise can be
the best time for shooting outside as at that
time the intensity of light is low because of
which chances of getting harsh shadows on the
    subject is completely eliminated.

6
  • There are some points which one should keep while
shooting photographs outdoors. It is suggested to
shoot in shades rather than in sunlight as it can
create harsh shadows on the subject. Using a
tripod can provide more stability though it is
true that most of the cameras these days comes
with vibration reduction and image stability
features but using tripod adds up to the
stability. Using long exposures can help the
photographer get the colours which are not
visible easily in the pre-dawn condition. The
last and the most important tip is that
photography needs time and thus one should relax
    and enjoy this.
