OBJEVTIVE The aim of the trial
was to evaluate the effect in using Nucleotides
in combination with reduced amounts of spray
dried plasma on the performance of sows and the
microbiological composition of the faeces in the
period of day 21 to 35, and 35 to 49 as well as
day 21 to 49.

  • Conclusions
  • Under the conditions on which the trial was
carried out, we can conclude the following
  • The use of nucleotides (NucleotidAid 2,5 kg/ton
feed) with 4 spray dried plasma provided a
better feed consumption as compared with the
groups without plasma from day 21 to 35 of age.
  • The daily feed consumption between the 21 to 35
of age was similar for the groups with 0,25
NucleotAid 4 spray dried plasma and 0,5
    NucleotiAid 2 spray dried plasma.

22
  • The daily weight gain between day 21 to 35 of age
of the piglets was also similar for the groups
with 0,25 NucleotAid 4 spray dried plasma and
0,5 NucleotAid 2 spray dried plasma.
  • These two groups showed also better daily weight
gain between day 21 to 35 compared to the group
    not using plasma.
  • No difference was observed on feed conversion in
    the different treatments.
  • The same (no difference) was observed for
lactobacillus and coliform counts in the age
range of day 35 to 49 days.
