  • AQIP Strategy Forum Summary
  • The AQIP Strategy Forum provided an opportunity
for Colleges to learn a great deal from each
other about how each College is implementing
    quality throughout their institution.
  • The 4 days were filled with a variety of
activities, some involving all colleges, others
clusters of colleges, and yet other activities
provided time for each individual college to
reflect and plan their quality journey.
  • The Moraine Park team spent time
  • Identifying and prioritizing key critical issues
    within the College.
  • Discussing and identifying key processes within
the College and strategies for how to measure,
    benchmark and improve our processes.
  • Working on future action project topics.
  • And finally a significant amount of time was
spent in discussion and planning for the future
of quality at Moraine Park including the
development of a blueprint for continuous
improvement and the identification of our vision
for improvement. Along with the vision for
improvement we identified the most critical tasks
necessary to move the College forward in our
    quality efforts.

The Team Reviewed Five Critical Tasks Quality
Culture and Process Define the process by which
quality projects / initiatives are selected,
managed and celebrated. This includes promoting a
culture of quality and continuous improvement
throughout the College. We want all of Moraine
Parks staff to be Qualateers who speak fluent
Qualatese. Quality Leadership Succession
Begin efforts to find a replacement for Moraine
Parks outgoing Outcome Assessment/AQIP
Associate. The team determined that it is
essential to find a replacement with strong
quality improvement skills who can hit the
ground running to move Moraine Parks culture of
quality forward. Quality Webpage Design and
implement a new Moraine Park quality program
website. The website will highlight quality
improvement efforts at the College, including
AQIP projects and will be accessible both
internally and externally.

Communicate Quality Develop a plan to
communicate quality initiatives and efforts
throughout the College. Planned communication
vehicles will include the quality program
website, reflections on teaching and learning,
CPLT, District Updates, and methods yet to be
determined. Celebrate Successes Plan for
celebrating our successes as we continue down the
path toward quality. It is critical that we
celebrate the milestones we reach as a College in
our pursuit of continuous quality improvement.
