Purpose of Network

• Eurisol will be a next generation facility
  providing
• Broad range of RIB with intensities 3 orders of
  magnitude higher that current facilities.
• Unrivalled flexibility in energy from eV to 150
  MeV/A
• EURISOL-NET will provide a framework to pursue
  the conceptual development of the EURISOL idea
  after the end of the EURISOL DS (July 2009). It
  will be an important element of a general plan
  for EURISOL to be discussed by the SC in its next
  meeting in November.

Coordination of Resources

• To allow the European laboratories that can
  conceivably host EURISOL to network with each
  other, with the funding agencies via NUPNET, and
  with the user community
• To encourage the exchange of know-how on
  technical and scientific developments in European
  ISOL facilities (Louvain-la-Neuve,
  REX-HIE-ISOLDE, SPIRAL-SPIRAL2, EXCYT and SPES)
  so they can be applied to EURISOL
• To Support the Eurisol User Group so as to
  continuously develop the scientific case of
  EURISOL

Benefit for our Infrastructures

• Preparing the future Exchanging technical
  knowledge from the intermediate generation ISOL
  facilities to prepare the next generation
  facility recommended in the NuPECC long range
  plan
• Disseminating the information to the
  laboratories involved in development of the ISOL
  technique.

Following the guidelines

• Foresight studies for new instrumentation,
  methods, concepts and/or technologies
• Coordination with national or international
  related initiatives and support to the deployment
  of global approaches to science.
