THE CHALLENGE

• Available funding has increased 60 R1-4
• However, TB funding has not increased.
• TB proposals have been modest. 30 of all
  approved proposals are for TB yet overall funding
  for TB is 13
• GFATM reports global resource gaps for AIDS,
  Malaria, and TB at 77, 17, and 6

• 58 countries plan to submit TB proposals in R5
  (18HBC). 49 in R4.
• 48 countries are receiving technical support from
  Stop TB Partners.
• 46 consultants trained and deployed in the field

FUTURE DIRECTIONS

• Increasing TB components in HIV proposals
• Strengthening the capacity to strongly engage
  with the GFATM, and to plan TA in advance (Early
  Warning System coordination)
• Overcoming implementation bottlenecks by
  providing support for project management,
  accounting, finance, logistics (HS strength).
