• In implementing Education Reform for Knowledge
  Economy, training strategies are needed to enable
  teachers to map and embed training outcomes into
  course curricula and provide effective delivery
  of these skills to students

• Strategy 1 ICT Training
• The ICT training (100 hours) can be implemented
  using
• different programs. ICDL is one potential
  program.
• 30,000 teachers have been trained/certified, or
  are
• receiving their training.
• Other 35,000 teachers will receive their
  training
• and certification next year.
• Estimated costs are 1.5 million JD

• Strategy 2 E-Learning
• This type of training requires a minimum of 60
  hours.
• The MOE has adopted so far two different
  programs
• INTEL teach to the future and World Links.
• 50,000 teachers will receive this training
• over the next four years
• Estimated costs are 2 million JDs

• Strategy 3 Academic/Profession Ethics and
• Communication Skills
• Academic/Profession Ethics training requires a
  minimum of
• 60 hours. The MOE has proposed its own Academic
• training program that meets the expected goals.
• 50,000 teachers will receive this training
• over the next four years
• Estimated costs are 2.1 million JDs

• Strategy 4 E-Administration
• This type of training requires a minimum of 60
  hours.
• 10,000 administrators will undergo this training.
• Estimated costs are 0.5 million JDs

• Development Program
• This type of training requires a minimum of 200
  hours.
• 5,000 administrators will undergo this training.
• The MOE has proposed its own program that
• meets the expected outcomes.
• Estimated costs are 0.3 million JDs
