About the program
  • The original aim of the program is to spread
    family friendly organization methodologies,
    workplace policies , human resources management
    moethodologies and the concept of family-friendly
    towns and to support a better balance between the
    world of work and family, in general.
  • Family-friendly workplace work time systems,
    organizational forms, actions, introduction of
    internal or external services in favour of
    employees that go beyond legal obligations of
    employers to support a flexible reconsiliation of
    work and private life, family life.
  • Family-friendly town / living environment local
    employers and service providers private or
    public, municipal institutions that offer
    flexible workin solutions or services for a
    mutual and comfortable accessability of each
    other even for clients (consumers) with family.
    The catalyst of a family-friendly town ais the
    local municipality.

Interventions
  • In each case the interventions are based on the
    results of diagnosis and are personalized to the
    needs of beneficiaries.
  • Csenger definition of flexible worktime
    framework, elaboration of solutions for families
  • Nagyecsed Baby-mother club, integrated
    well-being system
  • Balkány cooperative family-friendly training for
    municipalities, programs for the development of
    community
  • Tokaj Wine-culture-family training, training for
    avoiding burnout
  • Hajdúszoboszló training to change mentality,
    e-municipality
  • Pécs Program for young mothers, cafeteria system

Experiences
  • People do not know much about the program, no
    communication campaign
  • Original expectations of the Managing Authorities
    have only been partially fulfilled
  • It was difficult to match the expectations with
    the real needs of towns, municipalities
  • It is difficult to implement such actions where
    disoccupation is high
  • Risks of the sustainability of the projects
    without the experts
  • Planning flexible work is difficult in todays
    legal framework
