Introduction
-The staple foods of Indian cuisine include Rice,
Wheat flour, Pearl millet (Bajra) and a verity of
lentil such as rentio toor dal, Masoor dal and
many more. -There are number of Indian recipe
like recipes of dal and the most famous khichdi
that everyone would love to eat. -There is one
famous Italian recipe called risotto which looks
like khichdi but it is not similar as it looks.

Khichdi Vs Risotto
  • -Khichdi is made with the toor dal and rice while
    risotto is made with risotto rice such as arborio
    rice
  • -The consistency of khichdi is varied from wet to
    semi-solid
  • -While in the most of variant recipe of risotto
    the consistency is creamy
  • -Wine is often used In the stock to make the
    risotto while this is not available in khichdi

-Vegetables are precooked in risotto if someone
want to add in the recipe -In khichdi vegetables
are cooked along with khichdi, it is not
precooked -Continuously stirring is not required
while cooking khichdi -Cheese and butter are
usually added at the end of the making of risotto
