  • Why dont our Councils give?

101
  • Top ten reasons Councils dont give
  • 10 We have a hall to pay for.
  • The hall should pay for itself.

102
  • Top ten reasons Councils dont give
  • 9 We work too hard for this money to give it
    to State.
  • You are supporting your Bishops needs, not
    the State Council.

103
  • Top ten reasons Councils dont give
  • 8 We need this for our own Parish needs.
  • Your Council is no exception.

104
  • Top ten reasons Councils dont give
  • 7 We dont get any benefit from contributing
    to State.
  • You are not giving to the State, but
    supporting your Bishops needsthis benefits
    all.

105
  • Top 10 reasons Councils dont give
  • 6 It is not a requirement for Star Council.
  • Charity is not about getting something in
return it is from the heart.

106
  • Top 10 reasons Councils dont give
  • 5 The only reason to give is to get awards.
  • You dont do it for the reward, but it is nice
    to hear Thank you.

107
  • Top 10 reasons Councils dont give
  • 4 We dont like our Bishops designation and
we would rather use our money differently.
  • The Knights are in solidarity with their Bishops.

108
  • Top 10 reasons Councils dont give
  • 3 We have too many delinquent members.
  • Your strong leadership and dedication is needed
    to build a stronger Council.

109
  • Top 10 reasons councils dont give
  • 2 College and Seminary Councils cant have
    fund raisers.
  • This is were the diocese can come together to
    make their goal for them.
  • Your charity pins could go to that council, TODAY

110
  • And the number One reason that councils dont
    give..
  • 1 We are a poor council.
  • Your efforts as a leader will make a
    difference!

111
  • What is your job?
  • Your job is to lead your council to find ways to
raise the funds necessary to support all of your

6. Membership in the K of C and Masons
Given the clear teaching of the Church in this
matter, it is evident that members of Masonic
associations do not meet the central requirement
for membership in our Order being a practical
Catholic in union with the Holy See. Candidates
for membership in the Knights of Columbus must
resign their membership in Masonic associations
before gaining admission to our Order. Should
there be an existing member of the Knights who
also holds membership in a Masonic order, he
likewise must resign his membership in the Masons
if he wishes to remain in good standing as a
member of the Order. Paul R. Devin Supreme
Advocate and General Counsel Knights of Columbus
