Style The sentence
  • An English sentence must have
  • a subject and a verb.
  • Faisal is a doctor.
  • In commands we dont use a subject.
  • A command starts with a verb and the subject
    is always you but it isnt written.
  • Open the door.
  • A subject can be
  • one word or many words
  • They met their friends yesterday. ( one word )
  • Maha and Mona are friends. ( many words )
  • A subject cannot be repeated
  • Marwa she came late. ( Wrong X )
  • Marwa came late. ( Correct )
  • The first letter of the first word in an
    English sentence must be written in capital
    letter.
  • He speaks English.

Grammar Descriptive and Possessive Adjectives
  • Descriptive adjectives
  • They describe a noun. He is smart.
  • They can come before a noun. She is a nice
    girl.
  • We use a / an before adjectives if they
    are followed by a singular noun ( count nouns)
  • Hes an interesting person.
  • Its a good news. ( Wrong X ) Its good
    news. ( Correct )
  • We dont use a / an when adjectives arent
    followed by nouns.
  • Dina is beautiful. But ( Dina is a beautiful
    girl. )

Possessive adjectives
  • They show belonging.
  • My job is very interesting.
  • A noun always follows a possessive adjective.
  • His car is new.
  • We dont use a / an / the with possessive
    adjectives.
  • Its her book.
  • Possessive adjectives have the same form before
    singular or plural nouns.
  • Your car is new.
  • Your cars are new.
  • Possessive adjectives are my, your, his, her,
    its, our, their.
