Pak-US Joint Academic Research Program

• Objectives
• Improving the quality, relevance, or capacity of
  education and research at Pakistani institutions
  of higher education in science and technical
  fields
• Improving the capacity of Pakistani public and
  private science institutions to support industry
  competitiveness
• Increasing the capacity of science and technology
  to improve the well-being of ordinary Pakistani
  people

Eligibility Criteria

• PI Eligibility Limit
• Proposal should include 1 Pakistani Partner and 1
  US partner
• In developing proposals the partners should
  consider the wide range of advantage of Pakistan
• Partners will tell how they will encourage other
  participants of the project

• Topical Eligibility Limit
• Due to US Regulation, the project for the
  enhancement of the quality or quantity of any
  crop for the cause of export to other country
  will not be funded
• The Project will be funded on Merit

National Research Program for Universities (NRPU)

• Provides grants for Creative Researchers
• Objectives
• To encourage research in all disciplines.
• To strengthen the indigenous capacity and reduce
  exodus of talent from the country
• Eligibility
• All Faculty Members of Universities
• All Researchers holding full time position in
  Institutes
