8Planning for College and Career?
- You need to know about yourself in order to make
the best decision about your future goals. - Research the college that fits your learning
style, offers the program you need to pursue
your career goals, and comfortable environment. - Talk to your Guidance Counselor and Career
Specialist.
9How to decide what is the best career for you!
- Ask yourself these questions.
- What do I like to do for fun?
- What do I like to read about?
- Who is the one person that I admire the most?
- What class inspires me the most?
- What are my strengths and weaknesses?
- Where do I want to live?
- What was the one career that I talked about as a
child?
10Dont be afraid to think outside the box!
- Connect what you are good at and passionate about
to the jobs that are out there, not the other way
around! - Example You like the idea of working in the
health field with children? Nursing is a great
way to do it, but so is respiratory therapy,
speech language pathology, physical therapist
assistant, and the list goes on and on. Which way
is best for you?
