Course IntroductionEnglish 12 Regents

• English 12 is a course designed for students who
  plan on pursuing their academic education beyond
  high school.
• There is no Regents examination for 12R, but the
  academic demands are rigorous and mimic that of a
  college freshman style course writing, reading
  and participation based. There are other courses
  offered to 12th grade students who are unable to
  meet the demands of English 12R or have a
  different career goal than those who plan on
  attending a post-secondary school.

• In class discussions, lessons on how to speak in
