egg. This is called fertilisation. This type of
reproduction is called sexual reproduction.

Fertilization
The sperm nucleus and the egg nucleus join (fertilization).
One sperm burrows into the egg cell, as it does so its tail breaks off
The sperm crowd round the egg cell.
During intercourse sperm are released into the vagina and swim into the uterus.
Sperm swim from the uterus to the oviduct, many sperm die.
