We use this tense to translate is .ing or are
.doing in English.
Eg. I am reading it is raining we are
watching television

To form

• First, you MUST know the present tense of ESTAR
• estoy estamos
• estás
• está están
• está

With ar verbs

• Cross off the ar, and add ando.
• Eg. Comprar comprando
• Fumar fumando
• Visitar visitando

With er/-ir verbs

• Cross off the er or -ir, and add iendo
• Eg. Escribir escribiendo
• Comer comiendo
• beber bebiendo
