  • Jason Cong Tenure promotion at UCLA CSD
  • B.S. degree in CS from Peking University in 1985,
    his M.S. and Ph. D. degrees in CS from UIUC in
    1987 and 1990, respectively. Currently, he is a
    professor and the chairman of the UCLA Computer
    Science Department.
  • Research interests include VLSI CAD, programmable
    systems, computer architectures, and
    nano-systems,
  • Xiaodong Zhang -- Annual faculty evaluation
    process at Ohio State
  • Robert Critchfield Professor and Chair of
    Computer Science and Engineering Department at
    the Ohio State University since 2006. He
    was department chair of computer science at the
    College of William and Mary before moving to Ohio
    State. He was also a program director at NSF from
    2001-2004
  • His research interests are in the area of
    computer and distributed systems
  • Keith Marzullo -- Mentoring
  • Professor and the chair of the Computer Science
    and Engineering Department at UC San Diego. He
    has also been on the faculty of Cornell
    University, and has taught at the University of
    Bologna (Italy) and was a Professor in Residence
    at the University of Tromso (Norway).
  • He is interested in fault tolerant distributed
    computing
  • Larry Davis -- Interactions with both
    undergraduate and graduate students
  • Chair of CS, University of Maryland
  • B.A. from Colgate University in 1970 and M. S.
    and Ph. D. in CS from the University of Maryland
    in 1974 and 1976 respectively. From 1977-1981 he
    was an Assistant Professor in the Department of
    Computer Science at the University of Texas,
    Austin. He returned to the University of Maryland
    as an Associate Professor in 1981. From 1985-1994
    he was the Director of the University of Maryland
    Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.
