    and geographic areas.

    citizenship.
  • To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical
    means to form enduring friendships, to render

    makes possible the increase of righteousness,
    justice, patriotism, and goodwill.

Worldwide Service
  • WORLDWIDE SERVICE PROJECT IDD - In 1994 Kiwanis
    initiated a partnership with UNICEF aimed at
    virtually eliminating the worlds leading cause
    of preventable mental retardation, iodine
    deficiency disorders.
  • All children deserve the best possible start in
    life. Yet, every day, 113,000 babies are born at
    risk of iodine deficiency. Kiwanis believes in
    giving children A SMART START in life.

    clubs for young people
  • CIRCLE K has 12,000 members on 500 university and
    college campuses
  • KEY CLUB has 245,000 members in 4,700 high
    schools
  • BUILDERS CLUB have been organized in 2,000 junior
    high and middle schools, and
  • K-KIDS in elementary schools
  • Other members of the Kiwanis family include
  • KIWANIS JUNIORS for Young European adults, and
  • AKTION CLUBS, which involves persons with
    disabilities in community-service activities.

  • In one year, Kiwanis clubs sponsors an average of
    147,000 service projects.
  • To do so, Kiwanians raise and spent nearly 100
    million and contributed 6.2 million hours of
    volunteer time.
