About ADFIP
  • ADFIP The Association of Development Financing
    Institution in the Pacific was established in
    1986
  • Aim to provide a point/locus of communication
    for member Development Financing Institutions
    (DFIs) to disseminate information and exchange
    ideas for the improved functioning and efficiency
    of its members

  • To provide the highest standard of recognized
    professional services to its members.
  • It will anticipate and effectively respond to
    changes and create opportunities for the future
    and advancement of each DFI.
  • The increased prosperity will enhance the
    economic development of Pacific Island nations.

    addressing current and social concerns
  • To provide resources and services appropriate to
    assist in the technical and professional
    operation of member organisations of the ADFIP

What is Development Financing?
  • It is a specialized area of banking with the main
    emphasis on promoting growth and diversification
    of the economy.
  • This often involves assisting those who might not
    normally qualify for commercial bank credit.

  • New frontier for development finance
  • Provision of access to financial services for the
    unserved and underserved market sector
  • Local knowledge and market perspective that
    understands the needs and preferences of the
    targeted client group and designs appropriate
    products to meet them

  • Development Bank from the following Countries
    Cook Islands, Kiribati, Samoa, American Samoa,
    Tuvalu, PNG, FSM, Fiji, Marshall, Palau, Niue,
    Tonga, European Investment Bank, Caledonia,
    Socredo
