Budget The proposed budget for the pilot phase
amounts to NOK 535 200

The main intensions under a new programme is
  • improve the organisation,
  • content and quality of academic education,
  • research and support services in the faculties of
    agriculture, veterinary medicine and forestry in
    order to meet national needs in the ongoing
    reconstruction after the regional wars.

Programme activities
  • Support selected institutions in SEE/WB towards
    obtaining European professional levels and
    standards.
  • Promote networking and scientific cooperation
    between the SEE/WB institutions.
  • Promote networking and scientific cooperation
    between institutions in SEE/WB and in Norway.

Main objectives of the programme
  • Joint research on topics relevant for the
    development process in SEE/WB.
  • Curriculum development and improvement of
    teaching,
  • Teaching and training of students through guest
    lecturing in SEE/ WB, development of a sandwich
    study programme that allows for part-time studies
    in Norway.
  • Establishment of M.Sc. programmes.
  • Support to Ph.D. candidates.
  • Staff upgrading, student and staff exchange and
    other cooperation between the participating
    institutions.
  • Support to upgrading of study material, equipment
    for teaching, communication, laboratories, joint
    research activities, etc.
