The new face at Monticello taking shape as part
of the last phase of the 2001 building bond. The
front will include an improved access ramp.

In the courtyard, you see the existing canopies
across to the new framed-in shot crete and window
walls of classrooms.

Here, workers apply shot crete to the exterior
walls (courtyard side) to better stabilize the
building in the event of an earthquake.

Shot crete areas include much reinforcement steel
and concrete footings.

At left youll see the demolition to make
possible the new counseling office entrance. At
right is preparation for the expanded principals
office

The music room looks a mess after all the
asbestos-containing materials were removed or
sealed.

The health room is shown here following the
ceiling demolition and floor sealing, but before
the window sizes were reduced to conserve energy.
