    (SAR)
  • Acknowledgment
  • Expected Family Contribution (EFC)
  • New Jersey Residents
  • Receive a Student Eligibility Notice (SEN) from
    the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority
    (HESAA)

  • Federal
  • If the Student Aid Report (SAR) is returned
    without an EFC
  • the student must respond to the comments on the
    SAR
  • only upon satisfactory completion, a valid EFC
    will be issued

  • HESAA may request information before finalizing
    some state aid
  • Respond to the Additional Information Request
    (AIR)
  • Return the AIR directly to the Trenton address
    provided

Financial Aid Process
  • Pre-registration
  • Financial aid will remain inactive and will not
    credit to the students account, if a student does
    not pre-register.
  • Students must pre-register for Fall in order to
    receive a term bill.
